1. Unusual bleeding from any part of the body
  2. Unusual discharge from any part of the body
  3. Protrusion or mass (lump or swelling) in any part of the body
  4. Pain that persists
  5. Paleness (caused by “shortage of blood” known as Anaemia)
  6. Loss of energy – Tired all the time (Anergia)
  7. Loss of appetite (Anorexia)
  8. Loss of weight (Asthenia)
  9. Loss of function of any part of the body (e.g. loss of voice, loss of sight).

CAUTION:

If you notice any of these, do not panic because most times they are not related to cancer. However, you must report promptly to your doctor or the NCPP Centre at 31 Bode Thomas Street, Surulere, Lagos, so that you can be examined.

An early diagnosis is key to surviving cancer.
